Frequently Asked Questions

All guests rooms and indoor areas at 1 Hotel Toronto are non-smoking. If smoking is detected in a guest room there will be a removal from the premises and the following fees apply.

Houses (1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 & 1006):
The smoking fee will be equivalent to one night’s room rate plus applicable taxes based on the departure date rate for the specific House.

All Other Room Types:
A minimum smoking fee of $1,000.00 plus applicable taxes will apply.

The pool deck and plunge pool (open May through September) are exclusively for hotel guests and building residents.

No, we do not take reservations as our pool deck operates on a first come, first serve basis. Please note, guests are limited to 90 minutes per day.

Light bites and refreshments are available on the Pool Deck menu, however, no outside food or beverage will be permitted.

All guests must be registered, whether you are staying in the hotel or living in the residence.

No, there is no membership option for our rooftop pool deck. The rooftop space is exclusively for hotel guests and building residents.

Service dogs are allowed to accompany guests to dining facilities, however, proper documentation is required.

A daily $29 amenity fee per room, exclusive of tax, is applied at the time of check-in. This fee is separate from your room rate and offers unique amenities including: complimentary Mind and Movement classes and wellness experiences, nature-inspired programming and events, Lobby Farmstand with seasonal fruits, and pet beds for our four-legged guests.

This is a $150 per day incidental authorization, which will be released at the end of your stay should you not incur any incidentals.

We do not have self-parking, however, there is public underground parking connected to the hotel. Access to this lot is via Stewart Street on floors P2-P3. The cost is approx. $35-47 + tax.

Please note, certain oversized vehicles cannot be accommodated in the public underground parking. Kindly contact the hotel to learn more.

Pay Now Rates: Non-refundable, fully pre-paid. You will not receive a refund on these rates, even with 24 hours' notice or more of cancellation.

Pay Later Rates: Pay Later rates require a one-night deposit. 24 hours' notice for guestrooms, 72 hours' notice for suites and connecting room categories, and seven days' notice for Willow House and Birch House is required for any cancellations on Pay Later rates.

Unless you have booked a Pay Now rate, or unless otherwise noted on your confirmation, please let us know if you have to cancel 24 hours before arrival for guestrooms, 72 hours before arrival for suites and connecting room categories, and seven days before arrival for Willow House and Birch House, in order to avoid a penalty of one night's stay plus tax. If you simply don't show up, we'll charge one night's stay plus tax to the credit card on file.
