A Magical London Christmas Lights Walk

Embark on a delightful festive journey through London’s most iconic Christmas light displays, all starting just steps from 1 Hotel Mayfair. This walking route combines the best of London’s holiday cheer with a touch of magic, perfect for a seasonal evening stroll.

1. Bond Street
From the hotel, head towards Bond Street to admire the enchanting peacock-inspired illuminations adorning one of London’s most luxurious shopping streets. With elegant light installations complementing its high-end storefronts, Bond Street is a dazzling start to your walk.

2. Oxford Street
Continue north to Oxford Street, where sparkling displays stretch across the famous thoroughfare. This year’s lights bring a modern glow to London’s busiest shopping hub, creating a perfect backdrop for a festive selfie.

3. Regent Street
Next, turn onto Regent Street, home to the breathtaking ‘Spirit of Christmas’ angel lights. These grand, shimmering installations span the street, creating a truly magical atmosphere as they seem to soar above you.

4. Carnaby Street
Take a detour into Carnaby Street, known for its bold and creative holiday themes. Each year, the street is transformed into an immersive, colourful display, offering something truly unique for visitors to enjoy.

5. Piccadilly and St. James’s
Wander down towards Piccadilly to see the elegant lights illuminating the area around Fortnum & Mason, then explore the stylish St. James’s for a more understated, yet equally festive, experience.

6. Covent Garden
End your walk at Covent Garden, where a grand Christmas tree, twinkling mistletoe chandeliers, and an abundance of seasonal cheer await. Take a moment to soak in the charming atmosphere before warming up with a mulled wine or hot chocolate.
