FIVE BORO BIKE TOUR

FIVE BORO BIKE TOUR

We are happy to have you join us at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge this weekend. There is always something exciting going on in NYC, so here are a few details to be aware of for this weekend. Our neighborhood will be experiencing roadblocks and traffic delays for the annual Five Boro Bike Tour. But do not worry, below we’re outlining everything you need to know for an easy arrival or departure this weekend.

Street Closures — Sunday, May 4th
Furman Street — located directly in front of the hotel will be closed between 6am-5pm. Our parking garage located off Furman Street will also be closed but we have several accommodations to help get you exactly where you need to be.

Guest Arrival — Sunday, May 4th
If arriving May 4th, we recommend arriving in the afternoon after 5pm once the streets have opened. Otherwise, please park at the LAZ Parking Facility — 203 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Your vehicle will be parked by a valet attendant and moved back to 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge later that evening — you won’t have to do a thing. If arriving by rideshare car, please input the following address: 81 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

We will have 1 Hotel vehicles ready and available to transfer guests to a security checkpoint at the corner of Doughty and Everit, just one block from 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.

You will need to cross the checkpoint in order to get to the hotel. A security guard will be stationed at the checkpoint to assist guests in crossing over the bike route. Please plan a wait time of about 15 minutes at these checkpoints. Members of the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge team will be there to assist you with luggage.

Guest Departure — Sunday, May 4th
If you’re ending your stay with 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge and have parked in our garage, your vehicle will be moved overnight (May 3rd-May 4th) to temporary parking at the LAZ Parking Facility — 203 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Upon checking out, there is a street crossing area at Doughty Street and a 1 Hotels house car that will take you to the garage to retrieve your vehicle for departure. Please allow an extra 30 minutes to your journey. It’s just another Sunday in New York for our team and we'll be readily available to assist you with your luggage and garage transportation for an easy departure.

Rideshare — Sunday, May 4th
If traveling by rideshare car from 6am-5pm on Sunday, May 4th,  please input the following address for pickup/drop off: 81 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

House Car & Audi Driving Experience
Kindly note that both vehicles will be unavailable to reserve Sunday, May 4th as they will be used to help with arrivals and departures. Thank you for your understanding!

We appreciate your patience and cooperation with these procedures and are thrilled to host you for your stay in Brooklyn. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly with any questions

Photo by: goinggreenmedia, Captions reads: WHAT A FUN FEW DAYS 🌱♥️ For the last week, we’ve been in New York celebrating our good friends farmernick and adreslinski’s wedding, eating plenty of the City’s great vegan food, checking out a few green tech businesses along the way, and staying at both the gorgeous 1hotel.centralpark and 1hotel.bklynbridge As people who always look to stay in more sustainable or conscious bnbs or hotels when we travel (both for businesses and leisure), we have both been wowed by 1hotels during this trip! From basics like having recycling bins in the hotel rooms and providing filtered tap water in all taps (eliminating single-use plastic bottles), to offering cool workshops like soft plastics upcycling classes and mocktail-making workshops with farmernick, as well as all 10 locations being LEED certified, using native and reclaimed materials for interiors, and so much more. We hope to be back, and thank you for having us! (pr stay) In terms of plant-based favourite spots, some of our favourites from this trip include: 🥯 tompkinssquarebagels Beyond Delight (on wholewheat everything, thank us later) 🍲 hangawi one of the most underrated and delicious spots in the city! 🌮 jajajamexicana fully loaded nachos, chunk steak birria tacos, and chorizo tacos are 🔥 🥐 delicesarrasin for fully vegan, authentic French cuisine like escargot, duck a l’orange, crepes, and more 🌯 clementinebakery’s breakfast burrito and crispy ‘chicken’ sandwich held us over on some long days 🍣 beyondsushinyc’s entire menu is great, and was especially great for stuffing our faces as we fought jet lag 🍪 chloeonbleecker coming through with cookies, cupcakes, and cake for dessert at the wedding! 🤤 Project videos that we visited whilst here, coming soon! #sustainable #sustainabledesign #newyork #eco #earth goinggreenmedia
