Carrying on the spirit of the original West Village location, Barbuto Brooklyn brings James Beard Award-winning Chef Jonathan Waxman’s signature California-Italian cuisine to the Brooklyn waterfront The menu features beloved classics such as the JW Chicken with Salsa Verde, Kale Salad, and JW Gnocchi alongside simple & seasonal dishes inspired by the waterfront. Revelry with a view, our bar is stocked with fresh and seasonal ingredients alongside some of the finest spirits, sustainable wines, and local beers, paired with elevated bites. Live DJs spin custom playlists in this rich yet refined ambiance.

Chef Jonathan Waxman
Chef Jonathan Waxman, the chef behind Barbuto Brooklyn, is a celebrated pioneer of California cuisine known for his seasonal, ingredient-driven approach and unfussy style of cooking. A James Beard Award winner and cookbook author, Waxman first made his mark at Michael’s in Santa Monica before bringing his signature sensibility to New York with Jams. Today, he is chef/owner of Barbuto in Manhattan’s West Village, Barbuto Brooklyn at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, and Jams at 1 Hotel Central Park.
Chef Aaron Kiser
Born and raised in the South, Chef Aaron Kiser developed a deep passion for food and diverse flavors, nurtured by hours spent in the kitchen with his family. Whether it was crafting comforting Southern soul food, mastering the art of BBQ, or exploring traditional Italian classics, Aaron’s culinary foundation was built on a love for bringing people together through food.
