Mortensaften at Fjora
A Feast Rooted in Danish Tradition
Fjora invites you to celebrate Mortensaften, a cherished Danish tradition marking the evening of St. Martin’s Day. Legend tells that St. Martin once hid among geese to avoid becoming a bishop, but their noisy cackling gave him away. Since then, the feast has featured roast duck, once goose, as a delicious symbol of gratitude and humility.
