– Go for the Unexpected: It’s easy to go for the shot that makes destinations iconic.  Try to seek out the details and everyday life that makes New York City and Miami so special, from the people you cross on the street to the intricacies of how a dish or cocktail is prepared at Jams, the Lobby Bar in Brooklyn, or at Tom on Collins.

– No Filter Required: We love a good filter, but the most natural and real depictions of a time and place don’t require “Valencia” or “X-Pro.” Go for authentic and genuine and preserve the beauty of photography before you could blur out perfect imperfections.

– Angles, Angles, Angles: Work your way around a shot.  Try it from above, below, sideways, up close and even diagonal to add dimension and an artistic spin that beings character to the norm.
