2. Combine shopping with self-indulgence at the La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel pop-up located in Bayfront Park (through January). With more than 20 booths selling jewelry, art, and artisanal baked goods, La Feria is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

3. This Frank Gehry-designed performing arts venue, New World Center, is a testament to the city’s ability to reinvent itself. Visitors can watch rehearsals and symphony patrons through a six-story glass curtain wall, as well as concert simulcasts, video-art murals, and a weekly film series. On Saturday, January 30 at 7:30 PM, The New World Symphony will present Richard Strauss’ Zarathustra. This performance will also be a Wallcast concert, where all guests are welcome to watch for free in Miami Beach SoundScape on their 7,000 square foot projection wall.

4. What began as a small grassroots festival produced by the Miami Design Preservation League has grown into one of the largest celebrations of Art Deco architecture in the nation. Today, South Beach’s Art Deco Weekend (January 15-17) has evolved to include musical performances, fashion shows, walking tours, movie screenings, a lecture series and a showcase of antique cars. This event is a must-see spectacle for anyone interested in the history of South Beach

5. Miami has no shortage of events for the avid art lover. From February 11-15, explore a wide breadth of quality works from both established and mid-career cutting edge artists at the Art Wynwood art fair which offers serious collectors and seasoned art enthusiasts the best opportunity to discover, explore and collect some of the most significant art works of the era. This year’s fair will feature art from over 70 galleries and diverse artists hailing from all over the world.

6. Take advantage of the warm winter weather and enjoy watching tennis at the Delray Beach Open, the world’s only 10-day ATP Champions Tour & ATP World Tour featuring both US and international players. The televised event is held from February 12-21 and features tennis legends and top-ranked ATP players alike.

7. The South Beach Wine & Food Festival returns to Miami for its 15th season with a host of parties, tastings, and dinners from February 24-28. This year’s festival will feature many of Miami’s most beloved professionals and celebrity chefs doing everything from hosting a kosher sit-down dinner to giving insight into how to present the perfect oyster-and-wine pairings. Since the festival’s founding, it’s raised more than $22 million for FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.

8. The Wynwood Art Walk takes place on the second Saturday of each month (6-9 pm), with art, street performances and a full lineup of food trucks. Nationally-recognized street and graffiti art adorns various buildings in the area, and no several multi-media exhibitions and performances. Most of the local galleries host opening night exhibitions with plenty of street performers and musicians performing throughout the heart of the area.

9. Whether you’re an old school art junkie or a newbie to the art scene, Perez Art Museum Miami has something for everyone. During PAMM Third Thursdays, galleries, outdoor verandas and other museum spaces come alive with artist performances, special musical guests and other entertainment. Explore the museum, enjoy a cocktail or dinner at the Museum’s waterfront bistro and spend time with friends. This event occurs every third Thursday from 5-9pm and is hosted by Poplife Social.

10. For a day of natural beauty, you can’t overlook Everglades National Park. Walk the Anhinga Trail at Flamingo Park and spot alligators, or climb up Shark Valley’s observation tower and take in Florida’s “River of Grass.” It’s #Daylife at its finest.
