Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, From Here is a thoughtful celebration of the farms, wineries, and places that nourish our table.

Our menu gently guides you through Victoria’s rich landscape, with dishes that speak to their origins—each plate a narrative of place, season, and maker. This is sourcing as storytelling: honest, expressive, and deeply connected to the rhythms of nature.

Terrace dining is available throughout the day, inviting guests to dine along the river and connect more closely with the nature, available weather permitting.

Celebrate the best of summertime dining with Summer on the Terrace by Mike, launching Saturday 6th December at 12pm and available to book throughout the summer season. Inspired by long, unhurried days that roll into the evenings with good food and good company, this is relaxed, produce-led dining that’s meant to be appreciated.

Take your time. Start with something cold and bright, settle into generous shared plates, and enjoy the warm breeze rolling across the terrace. Whether you’re settling in for a leisurely afternoon or easing into an alfresco dinner as the light softens, the terrace is yours to linger on.

Welcome the New Year with a memorable dining experience at From Here by Mike. Enjoy a thoughtfully crafted menu celebrating local, seasonal produce and the joy of connection. Begin your celebrations early with a booking from 5:30–8:00pm ($190pp) or welcome midnight with our second seating from 8:30pm–late ($285pp) which includes a glass of Taittinger 2013 Comtes de Champagne. Indulge in our locally led menu designed to mark the final night of the year in style.

MFWF Farm, Field and Table: The Chicken Dinner

A whole-bird dinner celebrating one of Victoria’s most trusted farms, from egg to bone. Nothing wasted, everything delicious.

Chef Mike McEnearney’s produce-first generosity is combined with his craft and whole-use ingenuity in a menu that honours the bird in its entirety, from egg to broth, skin to fat, liver to bone. It’s a feast of comfort, conscience and creativity. An honest celebration of the farms and fields that feed us.

Set at From Here by Mike on Melbourne’s Yarra River at 1 Hotel Melbourne, this dinner traces the journey of a pasture-raised chicken through five thoughtful courses that honour every part of the bird. Expect rich broths, crisp skin, bright pickles and garden herbs. A meal about generosity, resourcefulness and what makes food truly good.
