Een boodschap over Thanksgiving

As we gather for another Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the immense gratitude we feel for the moments that ground us, quiet pauses in nature, meaningful connections with one another, and your unwavering support as we continue to grow with purpose.

This year marked inspiring milestones across our global sanctuaries. We celebrated the openings of 1 Hotel Seattle, 1 Hotel Melbourne, and 1 Hotel Copenhagen, each representing our commitment to creating spaces where nature’s beauty is honored, protected, and brought to the forefront of the guest experience.

Together, we donated 33,716 pounds of food to more than 35 local charitable partners, hosted over 1,000 sustainability focused programming events, and achieved a 95 percent waste diversion rate across all Certified Sustainable Gatherings. 

This year also brought a meaningful evolution in how we recognize and reward our community with the reimagined Mission Membership™ program. Every stay gives back, with 1 percent of qualifying spend donated to Natural Resources Defense Council, Oceanic Global, or Green Our Planet. For every new member who joins Mission, we plant a tree through the Arbor Day Foundation. In addition to these Mission contributions, we planted more than 100,000 trees to support wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles.

Perhaps the greatest gift of this season is the reminder that true abundance lies in giving back, uplifting others, and honoring the natural world that inspires everything we do. With gratitude and anticipation, we look ahead to welcoming 1 Hotel Tokyo and 1 Hotel Austin in 2026, and continuing this meaningful journey together.
