Today, we join billions of people around the world in a collective celebration of the planet we all call home. It’s a moment that reminds us of what’s possible when we come together with purpose.

With your support, we’ve made powerful progress, and this Earth Day, we’re honored to share a glimpse of what that looked like in 2024:

• 9% reduction in carbon emissions per occupied room night
• 7% reduction in water usage per occupied room night
• 6 new certifications for green buildings or operations 
• 75% waste diversion rate overall, with 96% for Certified Sustainable Gatherings
• 3.8M pounds diverted from landfill (recycled, reused, or donated)
• 52K pounds of food donated to 40+ local nonprofit partners
• 4.5K team member service hours, including 50+ community clean-up events
• 300+ guest programs focused on sustainability

This year, as we saw one of our communities tragically impacted by wildfires, we took action to support our LA neighbors and first responders. And now, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, we’re proud to share that we are donating 100,000 trees to local nurseries to support the region’s reforestation efforts.

We know the journey toward sustainability is never truly finished. But we remain optimistic—because together, we’ve already proven that mindful travel, meaningful partnerships, and a more regenerative future are all within reach.
