While we absolutely promote venturing outside, having a #daylife, and getting your daily intake of natural Vitamin D, we’ll also tell how you to stay safe during those sun-soaked days in South Beach and Central Park. Wear natural sunscreen.

The best way to keep your skin safe from the sun is to apply sunblock. Since most chemical-laden sunscreens are actually harmful for your body and the environment, we recommend choosing a natural sunscreen. Be smart — and chic — in a hat.

Don a stylish sun hat for extra protection. We love a summery straw fedora or floppy sun hat. Pair with trendy aviators or round retro sunglasses for effortlessly cool beach style.

Seek out shade.

When the sun is at its peak — usually between 10:00am and 3:00pm — it’s best to find some shade to limit exposure. Reduce the risk of sunburn and picnic under a tree in Central Park or sip a refreshing drink under a cabana at 1 Hotel South Beach. We promise you’ll be glad you did.
