Vacations and road trips always lead way to amazing time with family and friends, but don’t always include your absolute BFF, your pup!  We know how important it is to share experiences with your pets, they are truly a core part of your family and we are proud to be a pet-friendly destination on South Beach. From complimentary welcome treats, a dog-friendly concierge team with the best recommendations on parks, dog walking services, grooming and more, to beds and bowls to use during your stay and a dog-friendly terrace at Beachcraft, we have “every-pawdy” covered.

Recently, canine fashion icon and traveler, Remix The Dog, The Famous Miniature Schnauzer, came to indulge in an little R+R 1 Hotel style.  Check out his envy-worthy evening dining at Tom Colicchio’s Beachcraft with his “humama.” Dogs are always welcome to dine on the terrace, allowing you the opportunity to taste a locally-inspired, farm-to-table menu while your four-legged companion dines on natural, fresh and healthy ingredients. A pet menu is always available on the terrace and features selections like the “All American Dog,” a combination of chicken liver and bacon treats topped with ketchup glaze that serves as an appetizer, followed by the “Paleo Pup,” an entrée of raw beef, carrots, celery and blueberries.

In addition to delectable dinner choices for you and your pet, every pet guest is welcomed with specialty treats and toys to kick off a memorable stay!  Let us know before checking in that you will be traveling with a friend of the four-legged variety and our animal-loving team will make sure everyone feels right at home.  Not traveling with a dog?  That’s cool, we’ll do all that we can to accommodate your arrival.  Just contact our Concierge Team.

Grab your sunscreen, frisbee, treats, towels and leashes, and we’ll see you on the beach soon!

To minimize the use of plastic in your own life, look around your home and work to identify plastic items. From there, seek to find alternatives.
