Mycelia's Arrival For Art Basel

Join us as we welcome artist Daniel Popper’s Mycelia, a large scale sculpture arriving in front of 1 Hotel South Beach for Art Basel 2023. Mycelia is named after the filigreed, thread-like fungus, and represents the interconnectedness of humans with the natural world. Mushrooms offer themselves as metaphor and image; the strange blooms of an otherwise invisible organism that runs beneath the earth. As the sun sets, witness her awaken through 3D video mapping and witness the neurological network of nature come to life.

The sculpture will be onsite in front of the property from November 18 until January 15
